The scientific research of the Department of Radiotherapy is led by four PI’s with expertise’s on different Cancer Hallmarks:
Professor Marc Vooijs is head of the department. His group focusses on
identifying tumor-specific vulnerabilities for Notch signaling in cancer
development and treatment response. His group uses primary human
and mouse normal and cancer tissue models.

Associate Professor Kasper Rouschop is specialized in hypoxia-
induced autophagy and extracellular vesicle secretion across cancers.

Assistant Professor Kim Kampen focusses on systemic and local cancer
cell metabolic rewiring as therapeutic target for cancer therapy.

Assistant Professor Florian Bock's research is centralized on RNA regulation in health and disease in response to cellular stress signaling.
